Christian Poetry
Poems by Faithunlocked

Faithunlocked writes: In November 2013 I felt God inspired me to start writing poetry, and I never want to stop. In January 2014 I felt called to share that poetry, so created my blog: https://faithunlocked.wordpress.com/ If the blog glorifies God, it was worth writing; if the content means something to anyone else, it was worth sharing.

The Mirror
By Faithunlocked

My mirror is dull and tarnished,
Cracked and warped beyond repair.
My reflection is so diminished -
Is that really me I see in there?

'Use mine,' says the Father,
'It's always shining, crystal clear.
See me smiling, over your shoulder?
See me wipe that welling tear?'

Anyone can use that mirror,
Not one spoiled by a world that lies.
Embed that truth, make it a pillar,
And smile right back at His smiling eyes.

The Bread And The Wine
By Faithunlocked

The bread and the wine,
Reverently consumed,
So we never forget
Your death made us room
In the kingdom of heaven,
In the house of the Father,
With the angelic host
Singing praise to the Master.
In the cup, on a plate,
Simple elements combine
To mark Your victory:
Broken bread, poured-out wine.

Peace Be With You
By Faithunlocked

Peace be with you
And upon your house,
You are my brother under God;

We are both unworthy,
Yet by His grace,
We can claim Him as our Lord;

He gave up His Son,
He left us His Spirit,
He teaches us through His word.

How to respond
To our glorious judge,
Our Saviour by His blood?

But to give Him our lives,
To follow His way,
And worship in every tongue;

To walk by faith
and not by sight,
A channel for His love to flood.
